Welcome! We are so glad that you’re interested in River Hills UMC and have taken the time to learn more about us. You’ll find lots of information on our website about Sunday worship and who we are! Here is some basic information if you’re planning a first-time visit. We pray you’ll be warmly welcomed and blessed during your time with us!
Parking and Entering
Get details on our location here.
The entrance to our building is off River Hills Drive. There is designated visitor parking near our digital street sign. We also have parking in the lot across River Hills Dr. Just come straight through the gathering area (Narthex) to the Sanctuary. Any of our greeters or ushers would love to give you a tour of the building!
Accessibility
Most handicap parking spaces, including spaces for accessible vans, are in the east parking lot (to the left of the building). Doors from the east parking lot have automatic openers. Restrooms with ADA-accessibility are just to the left of the sanctuary. Both levels of the building are accessible via an elevator and ramps. The sanctuary and classrooms have room for wheelchairs. Ask the ushers if you need a larger print bulletin. If you have an accessibility need, or if you find a problem, let us know so we can work out a solution. Questions? What to Wear
Come as you are! You will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suits.
Children Are Welcome
Children are welcome in worship, education, and fellowship! We know kids aren't always quiet, and that's totally fine! We want everyone to feel comfortable being themselves. Follow the Programs tab above to learn about including children in the life of the church.
Gathering After Worship (Connect & Learn)
Some weeks we offer structured activities after worship, but free space for building relationships is always available. Though we have coffee and fellowship every week, the 2nd Sunday of each month is Donut Sunday, so be sure to grab a treat! On 1st Sundays during the school year, we have RHUMConnect when all ages are invited to do something together.
Our Welcome Desk is available in the Narthex (Lobby) and stocked with brochures, tote bags, visitor cards, and all other information you could need about River Hills UMC.
