Music Ministry
Music has long been a way Christians expressed their faith and praised God. You are welcome to explore how your musical gifts can be offered at River Hills UMC.
The Praise Team leads the congregation in contemporary music during worship. Praise Team includes singers, piano, percussion, guitar, and bass. Wednesday rehearsal set-up starts at 7:00pm and then runs 7:15-8:15pm. Talk to Matt McFarlane if you'd like to learn more.
Chancel Choir sings most Sundays in worship. If you love to sing, we'd love to have you! Rehearsals are 6:00-7:00pm every Wednesday, September through May. Choir is open to adults and high school youth. If you can't commit to the whole school year, just come during the seasons you're available. Talk to Matt or Molly to learn more.
The hand bell choir is open to youth and adults and plays in worship about once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm. Talk to Sue Thompson or Warren Pyle to learn more.
Children can worship God and help lead worship through music! Children and youth are always welcome to offer special music in worship. Just let Matt or Molly know by emailing music@riverhillsumc.org.
